SAFARIS

Sun Maldives organizes 1 to 2 week Safaris from November to May.

We will welcome you at Male International Airport from where you will join your chosen boat.

Your cruise will be lead by the Sun Maldives team  of English speaking diving instructors with extensive knowledge of the underwater environment and life in the Maldives.

Our dive safaris cover a variety of different Maldivian Atolls: Vavu, Ari, Meemu, Baa Atoll, Atoll Laviani....

The accompanying non-divers will find their place on and off the boat with the possibility of intro dives, snorkeling, walks on deserted islands and village visits.

We will make our dives in the 30m zone (advanced diver level required). Dives are often performed in a current so plan a SMB and a dive hook with your diving equipment. We provide tanks and weights.  Full rental equipment is available.  Please let us know your individual requirements at the time of booking.

The Maldives, famous for its nutrient rich currents can make your diving here some of your most unforgettable.   Sharks, eagle rays, manta rays, whale sharks, groupers, napoleons, turtles  as well as a  variety of macro life such as leaf fish, ghostpipe fish and nudibranches can all be seen against a backdrop of hard and soft corals, anemones and sponges to name a few.

In a world where the ecological balance is increasingly threatened we must respect this natural environment by not picking up any dead or living shells, not touching or breaking coral and not touching any of the marine life.

We encourage you to return home with any used batteries  and plastic waste. Everyone must ensure the preservation of this beautiful but fragile environment. It is our shared responsibility to protect it!
