DEEP SOUTH ROUTE

This program is given as an indication only and may be subject to change depending on the weather, currents and people’s requests.

 Day 1 - Arrival at Male International Airport where you will be welcomed by one of our staff members who will transfer you to your boat.  After settling in we leave Male and sail to a lagoon where you can test the temperature of the water with a dip in the ocean or simply rest and relax from your flight.  In the evening we will present you with the program for the week as well as introduce our crew members.

Day 2 - Velassaru Caves / Kuda Giri

First dives to discover what the Maldivian ocean has to offer underwater. Our night will be spent in the lagoon of Guraïdhoo village.  Possibility to visit the village in the afternoon.

Day 3 - Guraidhoo / Alimatha

A early morning dive in the pass of Guraïdhoo before heading to Vavuu Atoll where we will complete another pass dive in Myaru Kandu. Overnight near Alimatha Island which is our planned stop for a night dive.

Day 4 - Alimatha / Fotheyo

This day allows us to discover the magnificent reefs of Golden Wall and Fotheyo and their magnificent yellow soft corals. Night next to a small sandbank.

Day 5 - Fotheyo / Rakedhoo / Mulaku

An early morning dive in the blue in the pass of Fotheyo trying to spot hammerhead sharks and other pelagic species. We will then dive on the corner of the pass of the village of Rakedhoo before crossing to the atoll of Memu.

Day 6 - Vanhuravali / Hakura / Manta Alley

After the morning dive we head south to Meemu Atoll where we dive on Hakura Thila before reaching the southern end of the atoll to dive on a manta cleaning station. Possibility to visit a village towards the end of the afternoon.

Day 7 - Olughiri / Guraidhoo 

We cross Thaa Atoll where we will dive in the passes of Olughiri and Guraidhoo in search of sharks. Night spent in Magnufushi Lagoon on Laamu Atoll.

 

 

Day 8 - Magnufushi/ Fushi Kandu

Day 9 - Villigili / Khoddho

Early in the night we depart for the long crossing to the atoll of ovadhoo.  Schedule permitting we will dive in the late morning in the pass of Viligili with its 100 sharks.

Day 10 - Khoddho / Nilandho / Koddey

We continue our decent along the passes to the east of the atoll.

 

Day 11 - Foamulah

After the morning dive we depart towards Foamulah Atoll. We will cross the invisible line of the equator where we will do our dive along the drop off before joining the last atoll of Gan later in the day.

Day 12 - Gan

We will do our last two dives in the morning to give us time to desaturate before taking the plane the next day. In the late afternoon we will visit Gan.

 

Day 13 - Male: Male Airport Transfer

Disembark at the airport for your return flight to Male where you will be greeted by a member of our team who will accompany you to the international terminal.
